Friggin State of Michigan!!

For two and a half long years I have worked my butt of to complete Nursing school, I did this for my our contentment as well as to help give my family a comfortable life. I Had a kid and didn't miss a beat.. I made it through crazy clinicals, crazy instructors , making my husband completely crazy having to at times do more that his share of our daily life..

Now here I sit almost 8 WEEKS after graduation waiting on the Friggin State of Michigan department of health to tell me when I can schedule the most important test of my life.. I called and I got this answer from a man that I am picturing as a small disgruntled paper pusher.... We got your application on May 24 and "SHE" is running at 8 weeks to process... Am I to assume that there is one lone lady sitting among a mountain of RN applications. Why would there not be an increase in staff for the busiest time of the year for graduates wanting to take the NCLEX... oh I know, Michigan's economy is in the toilet right now!!

I would have tolerated the little mans answer if he would have had a tone of civility in his voice. I don't care if he is possibly in a job he hates.. I have to do my job with courtesy and manners.. I expect the same from others... You don't have to be nice but you do have to be polite!

So now I wait.. in a state of limbo waiting for the all important ATT ( authorization to test). From the lovely State of Michigan.
